Trollgaard Dog Day Care

Website assessment, content analysis, design & development with a custom WordPress theme

Starting with a Clear Picture

Before touching a single design element, I started with a website assessment and content analysis. This gave us a clear baseline — what was working, what wasn’t, where the content had gaps, and how the existing site compared to the competition. That groundwork made every decision that followed more intentional and more effective.

Website Design

Chuck and Anne Kendrick have a genuine passion for the animals in their care and the community they serve. The design needed to reflect that — warm, welcoming, and trustworthy, while making it easy for pet owners to quickly find what they need and take action. The result is a site that feels as good as it performs.

Chuck is also a professional photographer, and the beautiful images featured throughout the site are his own work. Having original, high-quality photography made a real difference — the site feels authentic and alive in a way that stock photos simply can’t match.

Built on WordPress

I built a custom WordPress theme using Gutenberg blocks, giving the Trollgaard team a flexible, easy-to-manage site they can update themselves without breaking the layout or the design. Clean code, fast load times, and fully responsive across all devices.

Built to Grow

Chuck put it well: “I think this will help us immensely with bringing in new clients. We have the capacity — we just need to fill it!” That’s exactly what a good website should do. The new site is designed to convert visitors into clients and give Trollgaard the online presence their business deserves.

The new Trollgaard website is launching soon!
